Dear Parent / Carer,
It is with regret I have to announce, that following tonight’s announcement by the Prime Minister, school will not be open tomorrow. We will re-open on Wednesday 6th January to ‘vulnerable pupils’ (as designated by the Government), those with an Education Health and Care Plan and the children of key workers. We are closed to all pupils tomorrow.
This decision was taken following discussion tonight with the school’s leadership team and Chair of Governors. We will be closed tomorrow so we can plan for the pupils who will attend. Online learning will be available to all pupils from 10:00am tomorrow morning. This will give Teachers time to get online learning ready for the day. From Wednesday, online learning will be from 8:50am-3:15pm daily.
In this lockdown, the government expect all pupils to attend online learning daily. This will be via our Seesaw and Bug Club online learning portals. If you need details of how to log on to access learning, please email your child’s Teacher directly. I will message all parents tomorrow morning with a reminder of their Teacher’s email.
If you are the parent of a key worker and wish to request a place for your child during the new national lockdown, please complete the form on our website on our COVID-19 information page (under the ‘School Info’ tab). We may ask for evidence of your key worker status to ensure only eligible children attend. I will remain in touch again throughout this new lockdown. In the meantime, I wish you the best of luck with your plans for the weeks ahead.
Very best wishes,
Tim Phillips, Head Teacher
